01 Open Claude's settings

In the app or at claude.ai: Customize → Connectors.

02 Add HDL Commerce

Choose Add custom connector, name it HDL Commerce and paste in the address.

What does MCP mean?+

Model Context Protocol, an open standard that lets AI tools use other systems as tools. HDL Commerce MCP is our server for that standard: it gives Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor access to the platform’s API within the limits you set.

How is this different from Agent Mode?+

MCP brings your ecommerce into the chat you already use. Agent Mode brings the agents into the admin, with the page builder, the PIM and the campaign tools in front of you. The same API behind them, a different place to work.

Does it work with several stores and channels?+

Yes. The connection follows your permissions in the platform. With several stores or channels you can ask about them one at a time, or ask for a comparison in the same question.

Can the AI change things without us noticing?+

No. Reading answers straight away. Create and update become drafts that you approve in the admin. Every call is logged in the activity log with the key, the time and what was done.

How is personal data handled?+

You choose which parts the connection may reach. Data you ask for is sent to the AI provider you use and processed under their terms. The division of responsibility is the same as for any other API access: you are the controller, we are the processor. See the privacy policy.

Does it cost extra?+

No. HDL Commerce MCP is included in Light and Enterprise. No transaction fees. See pricing.
